Kai is 13 years old and is autistic. Kai likes being at home and hanging out with friends at school or at the shops, but can also feel overwhelmed in these situations, especially when they find it difficult to get their message across.
Kai says that communities would be more accessible for them if the shops turned the lights and music down, because this would be less overwhelming.
People deserve to be heard. If people don’t get heard, it’ll get all cramped. Like they’re stuck in a box.
